After a bit of grief, a clearing opens, the heart is lighter. It must be the spring like weather, too; door open, sunlight, I feel so free today my toes are dancing.
& delightfully, one of my sisters is incubating a little "we" human be-ing to place onto the ever moving "conveyor belt" of time. Someday when I go tumbling head first off the belt, he or she can come back and read this post and say, "I wasn't even born yet... look at how silly and archaic blogging was back then. Who are those wonderful people leaving comments... " It will be in the future, say sixty years on or more (I should still be alive) and this new person who isn't even here yet might "follow the links" over to see you too.

Every thing is what it is,

Congratulations to your sister, you, and all in your family... looking forward with anticipation to the future light and joy... and the new eyes that will see the world in a whole new manner... perfect announcement for a new year....
wise man, Henri Michaux ..
the wicked do make so much noise... Why? do they not think we can See the damage?...
anyone who said that Pessoa stole the show were simply whiners...
I need to take therapy so I can leave a task undone.. like he does... by way of Campos.. That would be freedom...
very cool video of the kills...
A year of wonders I wish you...
a great reflection on life again, fuuny to think what people will say about blogging in 30, 40 50 years!!

Salutations du Québec
"After a bit of grief, a clearing opens, the heart is lighter"......beautiful words.
Keep those toes dancing and all the best for 2009!
how lovely! I would like to comment on the words, but I am lost in those fantastic images of yours, which seem to incarnate the softness and gentleness itself. I wonder how you can do this.
A marvelous New Year for you and all your dear ones, mansuetude!
i like conveyor belt theme you have created- and that it keeps popping up. a wee one- your sister will be ready to pop too! congratulations on 2008, it has been an interesting year sharing it with you. i 'can feel it in my water' (mum-ism) that '09 is going to be quite something for you and the rest of your "tudes".
How wonderful for your family, our peanut is due June 30th, when is yours coming? Love the bird pics and the John Lennon song, have a happy and healthy new year full of much laughter and love:)
Thank you, M:)) Your words always make me so happy.
And your words open up the world - again a wonderful post from you. I like the time-warp, the spot-on poem, and lovely links.
Thank you:)
Bliss! I adore Henri Michaux (have you read his hilarious collection "Plume"?), and just loved the Pessoa poem you posted.
Ah, poetry, what would I do without it?
(Confession: I write poetry, too. Shhhhhh....)
Happy New Year to all of you!
Gwen, as always, yes... a toast to "the new eyes that will see the world in a whole new manner" and yes yes to Michaux... I have still a lot to learn about Pessoa... i am just discovering what lay under the surface ... Happy New year of wonders to you too.
Omami, hello. I am so glad you got the humor, it has been a very serious year for me... i am glad for a new start...
Have a wonderful, beautiful poetic photo 2009, too. Can't wait to see your images.
Robyn, thanks for that. Its so true, and for some odd reason, when i feel free my toes are dancing... and i love love to be barefoot.
Roxana, i love when you are lost for words, in your delicate silence. It always reminds me of streaming in the mystery, where i imagine in my heart is where you link. Thanks for showing up.
Disa, it Has been a wonderful year of sharing... Thanks for sticking through it all! and i feel it too, in my Watah... a wonderful year for you too up in Maine ...this has been the strangest year, but full of odd blessings too. Your humor helped a lot.
bookbabie, thanks for sharing so much this year, you taught me so much... i really admire that! Peace to your heart and yes, our peanut is due in August, around the 10nt, wanted it in September, but what can i do?
Christine, thanks for the constant company this year. i have loved it all, and the time warp, sometimes just knowing you are across the globe makes me know the world is small and good and snug... can't ask for more... the good people don't make the news all the time, so they need to make the blog!
Mary Laurie, I haven't read Plume, have to explore this poet more...his love for the inner space, vs outer space.
A happy Naughty but Nice New Year to you... do you think your confession isn't an open secret already? I will only be surprised when you run for Madam President, and then, only then, will you offer an unseen confession...
I thought of you last month, wanting some translations of Andre du Bouchet, he has so few translated poems.... etc..
i've been at youtube, carried away by videos. there was *barry white* and pavarroti singing 'my first, my last, my everything'. good heavens! and then, and then, and then...
oh mansuetude, there's always so much here... this top photo is mesmerizing. and yes, yes, and yes to it is enough simply to exist. !!
the harpy eagles... oh my.
we are a fever. we ain't born typical!!
brilliance LIVES here!
Michaux's quote is truth - it is a brave thing to give voice to our madman - thanks so much for this!
I'm glad that you're happy, and you express it so beautifully...
I never knew Bono sang with Luciano, but it makes sense, being their voices sound extraordinary together. Thanks. :-)
Ditto! from the bottom of my heart:))) I have absolutely loved all these times in your beautiful company, and look forward to hours ahead. You really are opening my eyes in many ways—it's a treat visiting you. Thank you :)
Hmmm...after a long day...listening to too many voices...answering too many questions and taking on too much of everything...I click a button and here you are, links and all...pure joy.
Love it all...Michaux, The Kills, Ave Maria, Baby, Conveyor Belts. Happiness...and your evocative images...It's all OK now.
Lynne~ when i saw that Eagle, i immediately thought of you... that kind of regal openess.
Jeane~ yes, and the "madman" was once more visible on stage; live drama and the "voice" of stage was more awake with this notion, i think.
Ian~ ahh, i felt the same, and it brings the "high" and "low" back into proportion.
Christine~ keep your Mistletoe up year round, kisses coming over.
Jo~ ah, as much as i love your visit, after a day like that I would almost love for you to meditate, but love to hear your voice here~
Happy New Year Mansuetude!!!!!!
And Thanks for all lovely comments from you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy New Year to you too, Mary Louise! You're a joy!
Oh, congratulations to your sister! And to you, too, soon-to-be auntie :)
And Pessoa...I do love those words.
Bernardo Soares is my favorite.
"The Book of Disquiet" probably the book of my life, by far.
So beautiful, so sad, so true
Love and Light to you and a happy new year ! Love your site so much, thx for visting mine !
Joni
With dancing toes... what could be better?
Several days into this brand new year and I hope it is treating you well.
take care, g xo
I love your "dancing toes" line. And your photographs are so mysterious to me, as if you look more closely you will find out an important secret about yourself. I love you writing, your thoughts and this whole post! Roxanne
I want to thank YOU for sharing so much.
After a week which had been filled with too much of everything and a second week full of contemplation and wanderings and reading a lot I feel open and receptive and you got me hooked with Fernando Pessoa and I'll have to run to the bookstore....
Have the most wonderful blessed and blissful year!!
i wish you also all the beautiful dreamful days to come for this year!
happy new year! i hope 2009 has started hunky well for you :)
Happy new year, Mansuetude!
I don't dare to even think the word spring yet, first I have to survive the hardest part of the year. Dark, damp and cold. But perfect for a glass of wine or two :) Cheers!
Happy New Year Mansuetude!!
I confess I have to take my time to come to your blog and read your words; they always have a big effect on me. You make me think further from the simple words. I stop and stare at my life. Thanks for this.
And congratulations to your sister ant the whole family!
i don´t know what to say, all is here, so i smile.

Your blog is truly beautiful and there is nothing else on the net that I have seen that comes close to your style.
Love Renee
Slow that conveyor belt, please. I want to get on and congratulate the aunt-to-be and to tell her that her photos are just lovely. Thanks for visiting my blog via Blogs of Note yesterday. Much appreciated. :) OK.. start her up.. I'm off!
Hey thanks for popping by my blog and leaving your views on the coal disaster.
I just got an old 8mm movie camera and am about to mess about with it. Likely these blogs will be as prehistoric as that camera by the time your new family member arrives.
Thanks for your comments on my drawing blog. Your words described my sketch perfectly. Enjoy Tumbleword very much! Look forward to following your work.
