. & .

"Our world is a voice, a sob, a few holy words." --E. Jabes

The rain makes the most delicate lace.

"Give me your eyes and the separate shall be one." --E. Jabes

"The flower rejects any word which dulls its color." --E. Jabes

I am too small to be wild. Perhaps I am a dove,
born a small while in this coat of thieves.

A friend sat on a bench near the sea to eat lunch. A different woman walked past, smoking a cigarette. Reaching the boardwalk, she flicked her cigarette up in an arch. A seagull swooped down and caught it, then circled around puffing and puffing away.

Who knew!
"A smile is a streak of light and liberty." --E. Jabes

I hope you are all well. That is a little brown fox who visits--the size of a house cat. I feel I could go out and put a flea collar on that beautiful fur and pretend to domesticate. Bad idea. But...

"I want to repeat the words "I love you" until they become spirit." --Helene Cixous

Peace to all who enter here, there and everywhere.

Thank you
for the special words.
They have brought
a blessing
this late afternoon.
Has been difficult to
smile the last 3 days.
You made me smile...

Those of us fortunate to be visited by wild things share your feeling of domestication. I’m reminded of the phrase, “God doesn’t need any help.” Enjoy!!

He looks like he is waiting for a snack - do you feed him?

One Woman-- Thanks for coming over and sharing that. To make another smile or help them cry is about as good as it gets.

Hey Robyn. I love that phrase. And ain't he cute. He has a lovely tail too, kind of like new downy feathers.

Lynn--I might watch but I wouldn't try to bring him in. In fact, I wish people would quit meddling with a lot of things, like over fishing the water, and etc. He is sweet though and I don't have to worry about a sitter if I go away for a weekend. :)

grrl--no. I never fed him.
I assume he has great eats out there... Rodents of course,(i am missing some little blue birds this summer). Men catch crabs, fish and shrimp right along the water there where he lives. Maybe I should bring him out some cocktail sauce and a cooler of ice-cold Becks. :)

Thanks for coming over everyone.

Thank you...This second photo of seeing through water and wet glass. Our summers are without rain...late fall and winter before I see water drops on windows.
